​That humorous insight from a farm-supply clerk perfectly captured the attention to detail that Acreage People was founded upon. Established in the autumn of 2024, the business grew from the founders' own search for quality, affordable supplies after relocating from Kamloops, B.C., to a small acreage near Bluffton, Alberta, in 2023.

With Cam focused on community-minded operations and Tanya bringing decades of equestrian expertise from facility management and Eastwind Horse Transport, they launched a few small orders to gauge local interest. The success of those initial sales and the positive feedback from neighbors inspired them to move forward.
Today, they remain committed to serving the community in a practical way—offering flexible hours, accommodating custom requests, and ensuring prices remain fair and accessible for the place they now call home.
